In spite of the language barrier and the naturally short attention span of many of the youngsters in the large audience, before long Val had them clapping and singing along, calling out answers to complete her sentences and laughing at her jokes. She is warm and funny, and her ventriloquist’s skills astonished and delighted the kids —as well as their teachers!
